Hua Hin

Hua Hin - Thailand's first beach resort - is renowned for its golf courses and spas. Clean white sand, crystal clear water and a tranquil atmosphere have continued to attract locals and tourists in search of peaceful and relaxing holidays.

In addition to its five-kilometer-long white sand beach, Hua Hin provides the highest density of world-class golf courses anywhere in Thailand. Only recently discovered as an international golf destination, green fees are highly competitive while maintenance and services remain superb.

The construction of a railway station in the city for the Southern Railroad during the reign of King Rama VI made Hua Hin stand out from the numerous quiet fishing villages in the area. By the time the Summer Palace of King Rama VII was built, the transformation was complete and the village became a resort town for royalty and the rich and famous. To this day, the Royal Family continues to reside at the Palace during part of the year.

With the opening of the Railway Hotel and the country's first standard golf course, the presence of early royal and high-society residences became more prevalent and Hua Hin became the first seaside resort in the country.

Despite its expansive growth and development into a luxury destination, however, the splendor of Hua Hin remains intact and continues to provide a peaceful and relaxed sanctuary in a picturesque environment with a strong historical identity.
