Klai Kangwon Palace
Built in 1926, soon after the coronation of King Rama VII, Klai Kangwon Palace - which means "Far From Worries"- consists of three Spanish-style mansions overlooking the sea, and is currently the Summer Palace of His Majesty the King. In addition to its beautiful ornamental gardens, the Palace also features a shell museum.

Temples

There are several temples in and around Hua Hin, the main one being Wat Hua Hin in the center of town. This large complex is home to the many monks who can be seen collecting alms in the early morning. The temple at Bor Fai (Wat Bor Fai), five kilometers north of Hua Hin, has some impressive ponds teeming with catfish that you can feed after making a small donation.

Hua Hin Railway Station

This is one of the oldest railway stations in Thailand. Its unique red and white pavilion formerly served as the Royal Waiting Room, and was built in classical Thai-style by the command of King Rama VI for the use of Sanamchan Palace in Nakhon Pathom. In 1968, the pavilion was renovated and moved to Hua Hin Railway Station.

The View from Takiap Hill

This hill, jutting out to the sea, lies at the southern end of Hua Hin beach, about six kilometers from town, and a temple and a huge standing Buddha image adorn the top, providing excellent views. Visitors formerly had to climb a series of steps to the top of Takiap Hill to enjoy the panoramic views of the bay and Hua Hin town, but it is now easily accessible by car.

The View from Khao Hin Lek Fai

Located about two kilometers west of Hua Hin town, this is a splendid vantage point where a panoramic view of the town and Hua Hin Bay may be experienced. There is also a standing statue of King Rama VII on the hill.

Krailat Hill

This steep hill, located next to Takiap Hill, a short distance from the sea, features an old Buddhist temple where a collection of large Buddha images several hundred years old are housed.

Hua Hin Arts & Crafts Center

Located on Naepkhehat Road, the center showcases paintings, sculptures, Thai folk handicrafts and antiques.
