Elephant Rides

Hua Hin was once famous for elephant polo, with teams traveling here from England, Scotland, Argentina and the USA. As such, there are several locations where you can ride an elephant. One is in the mountains overlooking Hua Hin that offers breathtaking views of the town and the coast, and another is at Khao Takiab Bay just a few minutes from the center of Hua Hin town. The whole family can get up close and personal with Thailand's national animal at the elephant camp, where you'll have a chance to feed them, watch them take their daily bath, and demonstrate the logging techniques used in the jungle. An exhilarating 30-minute ride is available through Hua Hin's landscape, guided by an adept mahout, and the tour concludes with a visit to a Buddhist sanctuary.
